A two-phased full gut remodel and addition transform an old ranch home into a warm and modern family compound on a beautiful redwood-edged lot in Portola Valley, CA.  The existing home was opened up to maximize flow for entertaining, daylight and indoor/outdoor family spaces overlooking the beautiful property.  The pool house was also renovated to function as a flexible entertaining space and guest house.
